The WPC welcomes members who wish to be involved in its standing volunteer Committees to help sustain and grow our organization.

Communications Committee

Purpose: Provide timely information to keep members engaged, issuing responses to issues and events as needed, and provide support to other committees in providing a consistent message. The committee will also develop and maintain branding and messaging for the organization.

Getting Around on Foot Action Plan Committee

Purpose: Steward outreach of the Getting Around on Foot Action Plan to ensure it is avilable to communities and groups as a resource and guide.

Legislative Committee

Purpose: Develop legislative agenda, oversee work of contract lobbyist, and work to pass legislative bills in coordination with other stakeholders

Membership & Fundraising Committee

Purpose: Increase WPC membership base according to our Strategic Plan goals.  Steward effective involvement in membership growth among other Board members.

Plans & Projects Committee

Purpose: Ensure pedestrian needs and the WPC are represented on priority committees and in planning and project developments.  Empower high-level volunteers to be informed conduits for walking advocacy and exercise diligence according to WPC's core mission.  More information and discussion about specific plans and projects are available on our online forum.

Meets: Monthly, 1st Monday of the month 6:00pm
